PCWorld.com Launches Rich Media-Powered Business Channel
Earlier this month, PCWorld.com quietly launched the PCW Business Center, a new channel providing technology-related contentâincluding product reviews and featuresâfor small- to medium-sized business professionals. In the coming weeks, content on the site will be supplemented with aggregated rich media such as webcasts, podcasts and online demos through a syndication partnership with ON24âs new b-to-b network, Insight24.
âThis is our first partnership with a magazine Web site,â explains Tom Masotto, ON24âs vice president of business development. Insight 24, which officially launched a few weeks ago, allows companies to upload rich media into the networkâs categorized and searchable directory, Masotto says. Users registered through each syndication partner Web site, such as PCWorld.com, will be able to browse and view the content and recordings.
âThis third-party content will only help expand PC Worldâs original content already available at the Business Center,â says PCWorld.com vice president of business development Ulla McGee. âThis will be a one-stop-shop for our readers, who come to us to do research about tech products and services.â
Right now, Insight24 boasts more than 5,000 pieces of rich media from more than 160 participating companies, such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard and Oracle. Masotto says he hopes to expand Insight24âs syndication network to include more magazine Web sites.
