Hanley Wood has purchased Ascend Media’s Pro AV magazine and Web site, a publication focused on audio and video products and applications. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The assets will be merged into Hanley Wood’s Design Group under group publisher Michael Boyle.
Pro AV is published 12 times a year, is BPA-audited and is read by 20,000 professional audio-video integrators, contractors, consultants, resellers and end users. Pro AV’s editor, Mark Mayfield will join Hanley Wood and continue editorial direction of the magazine. Stan Kashine and Sue Horwitz will join Hanley Wood as regional sales managers.
