UBM's PR Newswire Buys U.S. Newswire (posted 10/2)
PR Newswire, a division of United Business Media, today announced that it has acquired U.S. Newswire from Medialink Worldwide Inc. for $19 million and an earnout of up to $4 million.
The transaction will help PR Newswire significantly expand its customer base in the government and public interest sectors and gain improved distribution channels to reach media and online audiences, the company said in a statement.
In addition to PR Newswire, London-based, United Business Media is the parent company of U.S. based-publishing company, CMP Technology.
